PRENTICE: On Sunday, February 28, 2016, James Clifford Prentice passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. James was born March 31, 1942 in Fort Erie, Ontario. As a young man, he joined the Canadian Forces, serving at home and overseas, from 1958 - 1974. He then worked for Manitoba Telecom Services (MTS) from 1974 - 1996. When not working, James enjoyed fishing and travelling. He was Wagon-master for travel groups in USA and Mexico. Always one to keep busy, James was one of the founding members of both Experimental Aircraft Association and HAM Radio Club of Austin, and Former President of CB Radio Club. James was extremely proud of his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Remaining to cherish James' memory are his wife Joy; daughters Diana (Len) and Barbara (Gerry); grandchildren Bradley, Caroline, Brent, and Aaron; and great-grandchildren Kaylen, Kowen, Lily, Amber, Braeden, Clarissa, David, Brydan, Jayden, Kayden, Haley and Marie. He was predeceased by his father Robert Prentice Sr., mother Edith Hill and brother Robert Prentice Jr. The Ceremony to Celebrate James' Life will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chris Arthur officiating. A reception will follow. Donations in memory of James may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 3-824 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 5B7.
