FLOYD: It is with much sadness that the family of Julie and Erle Duncan announce the passing of Patricia Joan Floyd (nee Fox) on April 29, 2016 at St. Michaels Care Home, Burnaby, BC. Patricia was born January 18, 1930 at Claresholm, Alberta to parents Myrtle and John Fox. At an early age Patricia moved to Moose Jaw, SK and then from there to Winnipeg, MB. Patricia attended high school at General Byng in Fort Garry. Following high school she worked as a secretary in British Columbia before returning to school to take her nursing degree at the Misericordia General Hospital in Winnipeg. Patricia returned to British Columbia to work as a nurse providing community services. It was in Nelson, BC that she met and married Jack Floyd. Jack worked for the British Columbia Department of Forestry. Patricia and Jack subsequently adopted three children. Surviving children are Glen and Roseanne, along with numerous grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. Left to mourn her passing is her younger sister Julie along with her family. Patricia was predeceased by her son William and husband Jack. Among her many interests was a love for animals and donations in her memory can be made to the Brandon or Winnipeg Humane Societies.
