DALES: “Sheldon Walter” better known as “Pat” Dales passed away on May 11, 2016 surrounded by the Love of his family at the Russell District Health Centre. He was born on March 17, 1932 – St. Patrick’s Day – his Dad was adamant that he be called “Pat” which has stuck with him all his life although his Mother always called him “Sheldon”! Pat is lovingly remembered by his daughter Marg (Gerry) Fraser of Binscarth, MB; Granddaughters Kristin (Dion) Deschamps of Headingley, MB and Kelsey (Matt) Davidson of Russell, MB. “Poppa Pat” loved his very precious Great Grandchildren - Jett & Lux Deschamps and Arie and Ella Davidson and cherished every moment he was able to spend with them! He is also survived by his younger sister Betty (Bob) Vankoughnett of Saskatoon, SK; brother -in-law Harvey (Pat) Paton of Toronto, ON and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife (Thelma); an infant son and an infant daughter; parents (Walter & Mabel Dales), brothers Arnold (Jean) and Dave (Phyllis). A service to celebrate Pat’s life was held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from the Miniota Community Hall with the interment following at the Miniota Cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home of Hamiota, MB were in care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat’s memory to the Miniota United Church Memorial Fund; Russell Chemotherapy Renovations Project or to the Municipality of Russell Binscarth Library. “Forever in our Hearts”
