KING: Allan Kenneth King, beloved husband of Patsy King of Brooks, passed away at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary on June 8, 2016 at the age of 66. Allan was born at Souris, Manitoba and received his education at Elgin and Hartney Schools. He moved to Alberta in 1975 and was employed with McLeod Stores, Island Mud Services and with Bill McColman Oilfield Hauling ltd., until his retirement in 2013. Allan enjoyed curling, hockey, lacrosse and spending time travelling. He will be remembered for his love of family, friends and for his willingness to help others. He was predeceased by his mother Eva Joyce king and father Clare Wiggins King and one niece, Catherine Joyce King. He is survived by his loving family, wife Patsy; daughters, Tracey Murray, Glenda Murray, Lisa Murray, Rachael Macknack (Evan); sisters Anne King, Betty King; brother James King and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. In memory of Allan, if family or friends desire, donations may be made to either Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alberta Cancer Society or a charity of choice. A family memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 15 followed by a lunch reception for friends and family at Brooks Royal Canadian Legion from 2-4 p.m. Arrangements in care of Thom’s Funeral Home and Reception Centre.
