CAMPBELL: On Saturday, June 18, 2016, Keith Campbell of Brandon, MB passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Keith was born November 6, 1927 to Dan and Lena (McPhail) Campbell. Keith was raised on the family farm in the RM of Elton with his two brothers and one sister. He married Shirley Hovey of Justice, MB in 1952 and they raised five children. Keith lived his entire life on the family farm seeing it transition from a dairy, to a mixed, to a grain farm. He was an active member of the Chater community, a leader of the Brandon 4-H Dairy Club, a director of the Keystone Centre, a director of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba, a district representative of KAP, and appointed to the Province of Manitoba Milk Control Commission. Keith was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Doug, Donald and Elaine. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, of 63 years and their children: Colin (Marilyn), Alex, Caryn, Cathryn (Jim) Miller, and Donna (Brad) Mitchell. Keith treasured his eight grandchildren: Jason (Karin) Campbell, Amy Campbell, Bryant and Duncan Terry, Michelle (Dustin) Hargreaves, Heather (Rob) Brown, Jonathan (Mackenzie) Miller, and Sawyer Mitchell; along with his three great-grandchildren, Sophie and Hattie Campbell and Henry Brown. He is also survived by sister-in-law Janice Hovey and brother-in-law CK Williamson and numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends its gratitude to the family and friends that visited Keith in the past six months and to the caregivers at the Health Sciences Centre and the Brandon Regional Health Centre. A Come and Go Reception to celebrate Keiths life will be held at the Keystone Centre, MNP Hall (across from the Box Office), 1175 18th Street Brandon, MB on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 2:00 4:00 p.m. Time of reflection will be at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba Restoration of the Dome or a charity of your choice.
