ROSE: The family sadly announces the passing of Doreen Rose (nee Griffith) on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Brandon, Manitoba at the age of 79 years. Doreen was born September 27, 1936 in Dauphin, Manitoba. Her greatest joys were her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doreen is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, William Bernard Rose, and their three children, Rosemarie (Steve) Blair, William Rose and Peggy Angus; brother George (Irene) Griffith; grandchildren Malcolm (Sarah) Angus, William (Kerry) Angus, Jennifer Blair and Kevin (Lauren) Blair; and great-grandchildren Hailey, Emma, Kylie, Jacob and Kyera. Doreen is also survived by three nieces, two nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents James Franklin Griffith (1967) and Alice Margaret (nee Bercier) Griffith (1986); three sisters, Florence Bancroft (1976), Shirley Glesby (2005) and Ann Campbell (2015). Mom will be woefully remembered by all she held dear and we know she will be watching over us until we meet again. The family will cherish her memory in a private celebration of life. Donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Unit 4B, 457-9th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 1K2. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered,Come to me.'A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
