PIERCE: With sadness, the family of Eileen Pierce announce her passing on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at her residence, Fairview Home, at the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of May and Cecil Kingsley, and sister to Gordon Kingsley, all of whom predeceased her. She was happily married to Lawrence "Larry" Pierce for fifty years, until he died unexpectedly in 2000, leaving her to mourn his loss. Eileen is survived by her children Gregg Pierce (Christine Forbes) of Beausejour, Manitoba and Helen Pierce (Geoff Reynolds) of Thunder Bay, Ontario. As well, she leaves behind her dearly loved grandchildren, Winona Dickens (Cam), Emilene Pierce (Adam Braun), Jeremy Pierce, Tully Reynolds and Gannon Reynolds. She was great-grandma to Winona and Cam's children, Gryfinn and Calliope Dickens. She is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews whose care and companionship she enjoyed. In particular, cousins Beryl and Bill Everingham brightened her days when her health was in decline. The Ceremony to Celebrate Eileen's Life will be held at Knox United Church, 451-18th Street, Brandon, on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Lydia Glawson officiating. A reception will follow. Eileen will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in a private ceremony at the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the Knox United Church Memorial Fund, 451-18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 5A9. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
