KOLOSINSKI: With great sadness, we announce the passing of, Lorraine Kolosinski, on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. From her birth at Eddystone, MB on August 22, 1931, through her childhood in Larkspur and Eddystone, her years in Alonsa, Portage la Prairie and Brandon, she enriched the lives of family and friends with her unforgettable wit, enthusiasm, laughter, and strength. Lorraine worked along-side Steve and their children creating a home on the family farm in Alonsa, MB until selling it and moving to Portage la Prairie in 1972 where she took much pride and enjoyment in her work at the Campbell Soup plant until her retirement in 1989. Steve and Lorraine then moved to their home on 2nd St. in Brandon, MB. Her zest for life brought unbound enjoyment and laughter to all who knew her. Her many pastimes which she always turned into fun adventures included shopping, card games, dancing, yard sales, camping, road trips, gardening, bingo, baseball, music, flea markets, the cabin at Oak Lake Beach and practical jokes. Left to honour Lorraines life and remember her spirit, are her four children: Larry (Jessie) Roulette, David (Lorrie) Roulette, Daniel (Shirley) Roulette and Barbara (Greg) Blackmon; twelve grandchildren: Teresa (Todd) McCartney, Steven (Lisa) Lowdon, Michael (Laura) Roulette, Sean (Christine) Roulette, Leslie (Misty) Roulette, Charles Blackmon, Kevin Roulette, Kelli-Ann (Adam) Moore, Carolyn (Dion) Morray, Breanna Blackmon, Danielle Roulette and Myles Blackmon; twelve treasured great grandchildren; her brother Douglas Thompson and brother-in-law Edward Houle along with many nieces, nephews and friends. The love, loyalty and pride she felt for her family will forever encourage them throughout their lives, and her example of facing life head on with laughter, lives on. Lorraines children and grandchildren are thankful and so proud to have been part of her life. Memories will be cherished, of the laughter, the strength, the generosity and the independent nature of this wonderful woman. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.Grandma, you were just a girl, so many years ago.You had your loves and dreams, you watched us come and go.You watched us make the same mistakes, that you had made before, But that just made you hold us tight, and love us all the more.We havent always thought about the things that you have seen.To us youve just been Grandma, no thought of who youve been. But we remember now in love, your life from start to end,and were just glad we knew you, as Grandma, and as Friend.
