SLIMMON: Kathy Slimmon (Sheardown) of Shoal Lake, Manitoba passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Hamiota Health Centre at the age of 67 years. Kathy is survived by her husband Dearle of Shoal Lake; 2 daughters: Wanda (Vince) Brooks of Claresholm, Alberta and Dawn Slimmon (Blaine Stewart) of Maryfield, Saskatchewan; 4 grandchildren: Skyler and Kali Brooks and Brayden and Riley Stewart; brother, Dennis Sheardown of Hamiota and Meredith Fawcett of Vancouver, B.C. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Westminster United Church, Shoal Lake with Rev. Jamie Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamiota Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, CancerCare Manitoba or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
