SLIMMON: On Saturday, August 13, 2016, Betty Lorraine Slimmon, age 84 years, widow of the late Laverne Slimmon and dear mother of Joan, Gary and the late Randy, passed away at her residence, Valleyview Care Centre. The private graveside ceremony will take place at the Hamiota Cemetery. Lydia Glawson will officiate. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Hamiota Community Centre, 50 4th Street, Hamiota, Manitoba, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 beginning at 2:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 - 1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2W8.
