MEADOWS: Darlene (nee Careme) of Brandon peacefully left this world on August 13, 2016 with family by her side at the age of 62 years. Darlene is predeceased by her father Joe, mother Stella and most recently her fur baby Darby. She is survived by her daughter Tannis (Cary), grandchildren Brynn and Haidan and brother Ron (Lisa). Darlene, lovingly referred to by most as Da, was passionate about helping students, staff and family whenever possible. She spent the majority of her career in Student Services at ACC in Brandon. Darlene loved visiting and getting to meet new people. She always had a friendly smile and welcomed anyone in whether it be friends or family. Darlenes pride and joy were her daughter Tannis and grandchildren Brynn and Haidan. Darlene loved to let people know what they were all up to and what activities the kids were in. She was beyond happy when Tannis told her the news of her engagement to Cary and to see how happy Tannis was. She was even more excited to welcome Cary's kids to the family too (Destiny, Max, Darcy & Marcus). No matter what health ups and downs Darlene had she hit them straight on and with a positive attitude. She was full of life and spunk. Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in Brockie Donovan Chapel, Brandon, Manitoba. Donations in memory of Darlene maybe made to Brandon CancerCare; 620 Frederick St., Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr Visser, the staff at CancerCare Brandon and the staff on A3 of the Assinboine Centre for all the care and attention they gave Darlene.Wheatland Funeral Service204-523-7791 www.wheatlandfs.com
