FOY: Evaleen May Foy of Erickson, Manitoba formerly Rivers, Manitoba and a long time resident of the Erickson Personal Care Home passed away peacefully on Saturday July 23, 2016 at the young age of 90 years old. Evaleen was a lover of the great outdoors; camping, fishing, canoeing and gardening. In her younger years one could always find her enjoying one of these activities. She also loved good food, wine, crossword puzzles, reading and the company of her children and good friends. For many years Evaleen was active member of the Rivers Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Evaleen is survived by her 4 children and their spouses; Patricia Foy Wells (Wells) of Douglas, MB; Bert Foy (Sharon) of Calgary, AB; Shawn Foy (Lise Champagne) of Sherwood Park, AB and Rayne Foy-Vachon (Felicia Brooks) of Winnipeg, MB. As well as 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her companion of 38 years Mervin Foster of Onanole, MB, her sister Irene MacFie of Dunchurch, ON, her parents Mary and Edgar Vashon and her husband Berchmans Foy of Rivers, MB. Evaleen had a wonderful smile that would light up the room, she will be missed by many. At her request a family memorial will be held instead of a service. Donations may be sent in her name to the Erickson Personal Care Home. Minnedosa Funeral Service in care of arrangements.
