BROWN: Peacefully, on Thursday, August 4, 2016, Dwayne Allan Brown passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre with his mom and sister by his side. Dwayne was born August 16, 1968 at Cambridge, Ontario. He took grade one in Cambridge, then the family moved back to Onanole in 1975. While going to school in Onanole, he participated in many sports. After finishing high school in Erickson, he moved into Winnipeg. He was a line cook in Salisbury House, until failing health forced him to move home. After a few months at home, Dwayne moved into Brandon, where he worked at telemarketing for a short time. He explored Brandon on his scooter from one end to the other. He became a fan of the Brandon Wheat Kings and sold fifty-fifty tickets for many years. They were his team and many a bet was made. He was also an Edmonton Eskimo and Oilers fan. His cousin in Edmonton provided him with many Eskimo treasures which he showed to everybody. Ten years ago he took up residence at Fairview Home. Remaining to cherish Dwayne's memory are his mother Ruth; sister Lorie; nephews Eric and Ryan; Uncle Len; Aunties Shirley, Marian, Connie; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Doug in 2011, and father Elwood in 2014. The Ceremony to Celebrate Dwayne's Life took place at Memories Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Mr. Elgin Hall officiated. Interment followed at Onanole Cemetery. Donations in memory of Dwayne may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2W8 or to a charity of choice.
