CAVERS: Arlene Cavers (nee Thom) of Tofield, AB passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2016. Arlene was born in Deloraine, MB to Arnold and Nellie Thom of Goodlands, on July 8, 1947. She attended high school at Waskada. She married Sheldon Cavers on November 9, 1968. She graduated from Red River College as a nurse. She then practiced as an LPN in Melita, Deloraine, Churchill and Regina. She loved music and singing and was involved in the music ministry at many of the churches they attended over the years. Arlene was preceded in death by her dad Arnold Thom, younger sister Julie Lepp and younger brother Hilton Thom. Arlene is survived by her husband Sheldon, 4 children and 12 grandchildren. Steven Cavers and wife Karen (Jerimias and Miranda) of Winnipeg, Wade Cavers of Vancouver, (Chelsea, Kyle and Michiala), Tammy Nyyssonen and husband Jay of Brantford, ON (Joah, Kalla and Levi), Connie Jones and husband Gene of Sherwood Park, AB (Jaxson, Jayden, Joseph and Isabella). Her mother, Nellie Thom of Brandon, sister Elsie Mitchell and husband Roy from Fresno, CA, sister Myrna Schween of Brandon, sister Rhonda McMaster and husband Keith of Melita, and brother Doug Thom of Porto Alegre, Brazil. Also, mother-in-law Evelyn Cavers of Regina, two brothers-in-law, Shawn Cavers and wife Val of Regina, Joel Cavers and wife Camille of Sedley, SK. Special thanks to, Phil and Alana Price, Gary and Lorna Nestibo, Keith and Rhonda McMaster, Jeff Thom and the Waskada Community Church. Burial was at Goodlands Cemetery.
