MOORE: Irene Moore of Brandon, Manitoba, died on September 3, 2016 at the age of 82 at Brandon Regional Health Center. Irene is survived by her children Tim (Liz), Grant (Pam), Dale, Marilyn (Rick), her siblings Elizabeth, Marlene (Clarence), and Robert, her grandchildren Matthew (Sandy) Katherine (Tyler), Krista (Joe), and Jennifer (Stacy), great- grandchildren, Jade, Dylan, and Lucien, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. We shared the sorrow of the sudden loss of her husband, Laurie, and the sorrow of slowly and painfully losing her son, Melvin, and the losses of her sisters Martha and Thelma, and her mother and father, Katherine and John. Mom was very devoted to her family and loved our family gatherings and family vacations. She appreciated the many phone calls from family and friends, and the visits with friends and neighbours. She enjoyed bowling, and watching curling and the Olympics. We learned from her courage and determination as she faced the challenges of life as a wife, parent, and business partner, later becoming a widow and facing the challenges of aging and health issues. We can’t even begin to measure how much we will miss her, just as we cannot measure the impact she has had on our lives. Thank you to all for the kind words, prayers , visits, hugs, cards, flowers and gifts of food. A graveside service was held in the family plot in Hillside Memorial Park in Portage la Prairie.
