McMILLAN: June 4, 1920 – September 11, 2016. With great sadness we announce the passing of Murray David McMillan, at the age of 96 full years. Murray will be sadly and lovingly missed by his family; sons Vaughn and Graham (Susan) McMillan; daughters Sheree (Paul) Weisenberger and Nancy McMillan; four grandchildren, Jason McMillan, Andrew (Hannah) Weisenberger, Rachel (Michael) Swanberg and Angela (Eric) Franck; one brother, Lorne (Pat) McMillan as well as other relatives and many friends. Murray was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and George, and his wife Enid, of 60 years. Murray was known as McMillan Movers for many years in the Brandon area, and later he and Enid ran a U-pick market garden on their farm. His passions were playing violin and reciting and listening to poetry. His sense of humour and interest in life made him a joy to be around, and unforgettable to those who met him. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Beaumont Community Church, 5423–55 Street, Beaumont, AB.
