McKENZIE: Peacefully, on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at her residence, Hillcrest Place, at the age of 95 years. Nora was born in Brechin, Scotland in 1920; the eldest of eleven children of David and Susan Lawson. She moved with her family at an early age and settled in Brandon, Manitoba. Nora worked for several years at the Wheat City Tannery, where she met her husband, Roy. They spent many happy years together working in their large garden on Sixth Street; where their speciality was their popular gladiolas. Nora was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, Roy Thomas McKenzie and eight siblings. She is survived by her sister Beth Rowley, brother Glen Lawson (Eileen) and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service was held at Brandon Cemetery on Thursday, September 29, 2016. Donations may be made to a Charity of choice.Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com.
