ROSS: Sharon Louise Christina Ross (Pickett) of Chilliwack, BC, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on October 20, 2016 at the age of 69 years. Sharon was born on July 25, 1947 in Sinclair, MB, the oldest of seven girls. She grew up and attended school in Sinclair, Treherne and later settled in Brandon. Sharon married Doug Ross and they started their family. She worked as a stay-at-home mom, ran a home-based sewing business, and later worked as a bookkeeper for the Canadian Forces and for her son-in-laws business. Sharon and Doug moved all over Canada, eventually retiring in Chilliwack, BC. Sharon had many interests including highland dancing, genealogy, travel, history, sewing and crafts. Family was her main priority and she loved and adored her grandchildren. Sharon will lovingly be remembered by her son Terry (Sandi) Ross, grandson Andrew, granddaughter Kyla; daughter Deanna (Sean) Peters, granddaughters Lainey and Nyla; sisters Marilyn, Linda, Valerie, Sandra, Kim and Joanne. She was predeceased by her husband Doug and parents Gordon and Inga Pickett. A Memorial Service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Saturday, October 29, 2016 (today) at 1:30 p.m. with Funeral Celebrant, Kim Lewarne, officiating. Another service will be held at a later date in Chilliwack, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sharon may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8.
