WEDDERBURN: Doreen Elizabeth Valentine Wedderburn (nee Wolfe). It is with great sadness that the family of Doreen announces her passing on January 10, 2017. Mom would have been 94 this coming Valentines Day. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her sons Paul (Sharon) and Bruce (Jeffrey), sister, Mavis, sister-in-law, Marjorie, grandsons Shawn and Donald (Shelley), great-grandchildren Katie, Travis and Bryce and all her nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband John and brothers Edward and Harris (Winnie).  Mom grew up in the farm district of Tarbolton and helped her husband John run the family farm until they both retired to Brandon in 1989, a year before his passing. Our mother always believed in short obituaries and so we will honour her wish. In accordance with her wishes, she has been cremated and there will be a service at the Tarbolton Cemetery in the summer, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband John, whom she missed dearly for the last 26 years. Notice of the service will be given at a later time. A big thank you to Fairview Nursing Home, where Mom always commented on the tasty meals (except the morning oatmeal!), the enjoyable baths she was given, the friendly and caring staff and the company of her roommate Audrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.   We'll miss you Mom, you were one of the good ones
