MARTIN: God made a great mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter and friend to us all. On May 20 1942 the universe sent us Gladys May Martin (Tribe) and on December 31, 2016 it took her back peacefully and gently. She had accomplished more than anyone could have intended on this Earth. We are thankful, grateful and we are better because of her. Mom spent part of her life in Clanwilliam and graduated school in Minnedosa. Mom moved to Brandon and worked in the prestigious Prince Edward Hotel for a few years. Her daughter Kathleen was born in April 1965 and then went on to work for the Irwin family in Antler SK, where she met Buck. They were married in Minnedosa on November 27th, 1965. Soon after Rick was born in August 1966 and Brad in 1969. Mom and Dad farmed for 51 years in Reston and raised their family there, making many memories that will be cherished for an eternity. Mom and Dad were fortunate to spend 30 years in the winter enjoying the warm climate in Arizona, Texas and Florida, making life long friends. After the tragic loss of their son Rick in 2006, they retired from the farm and moved to Riverheights Terrace in Brandon and enjoyed their time there. Along Moms journey with Alzheimer's she moved home to Willowview in January 2014. She was pre deceased by her son Rick, brother Bert in 2016, her beloved Mother and Father in law Lorne and Gwen Martin, brother-in-law Gerald and her Mother Kathleen Tribe (Brown). She will be missed by her beloved husband Buck of 51 years, her daughter Kathleen (Larry) Martin, and son Brad (Michelle) Martin and daughter- in-law Carman Martin. Her granddaughters, Jodi (Devon), Megan (Matt), Nicole and Natalie. Grandsons, Nathan, Carter and Trent. Also by her extra children Maureena Donald and Cyril (Marianne) Gray and families. Also left to cherish her are sister-in-law Lorna (Alvin) Irwin, brother-in-law Hal (Debbie), brother-in-law Ken (Fran) and sister-in-law June and her sister-in-law Marnie Donovan.
