GAULT: Phyllis Gault September 9, 1920 - January 5, 2017. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Gault at the age of 96 years, on January 5, 2017 at St. Norbert Personal Care Home. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Henry Gault; parents, Joseph and Elsie Blacker and son, Michael Gault. Left to cherish her memory is her son Andrew Gault, granddaughter Lillian Heather Gault and six great-grandchildren. Phyllis was born in Yorkshire, England and grew up on a farm with her father and four siblings where they lived through the Great Depression. In her early twenties, she joined the war and met her husband, Dr. Henry Gault as he was a navigator in the planes and Phyllis had been placed in the same area, they later moved to Canada. Together they did a lot of travelling with Dr. Gault’s work as they both had a great passion for helping others. She loved going for walks and was an amazing cook. We will always remember her as a brave, honest, loyal, compassionate and down to earth, charitable, kind-hearted woman. Her kindness and unshakeable faith in others was amazing to witness. Her love and compassion will be passed on to her six great grandchildren. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service held. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Mount Royal Cemetery in Outremont, Montreal, Quebec. Thomson Funeral Home 204-783-7211.Condolences may be sent to thomsonfuneralchapel.com
