TRELOAR: Mattie Treloar passed away at the age of 92 at Rivers Personal Care Home on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Mattie was born near Oak River Manitoba on February 27, 1924 fourth daughter of six to Annie and William McMannis. Mattie served as Staff Sergeant in CWAC during WWII where she worked as a Tailor. After the war, she was employed at the clothing store, Vogue, in Brandon; then married Albert James (Doug) Treloar in 1951. She joined him in farming near Rivers in the Pendennis area. Mom loved the farm way of life, WI, 4-H and community events. Those were some of her happiest days, working side by side with Dad and raising her family. They retired to Brandon in 1984 and continued to enjoy many years together until Dad passed away in 2004. We all agree memories of her love and kindness and wit will be missed but forever remembered by her children: Marlene (Bert) Weber of Kamloops; Cathy (Jim) Ford of Calgary; Dave (Donna) Treloar of the Rivers area. Grandchildren: Terresa (Dave) Carlgren; Chuck (Angie) Weber; Ryan (Marta) Ford; Jaimee Ford; Jon (Ashley) Treloar; Jennifer Treloar; James (Carissa) Treloar. Great-grandchildren: Hannan and Cayley Carlgren and Charlie and Cooper Weber. She was predeceased by Doug; her parents; sisters: Lillias (Everett) Westwood; Reta McMannis; Peggy (Alex) Brennand; Beryl McMannis and brother-in-law Bob Treloar and niece Michele Treloar. She will be fondly remembered by her youngest sister Molly Treloar; niece Cheryl and nephews: Lanny; Bill; Doug; Pat and their families. Our family would also like to express Thank-you to the staff at the Rivers PCH for the care they provided Mom the last few years. A private graveside service will be held in the Veterans Section in Brandon Cemetery.Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com.
