BEARE: William (Bill) Beare passed away peacefully at his residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home on January 17, 2017 with his loving wife of 54 years, Alma, by his side. Bill was born on February 21, 1933, the second son of Lorne & Lily Beare. Bill attended Delton School in the Rounthwaite district. Bill grew up on the family farm and joined his dad, Lorne, farming. The Beare farm became a century farm in 1982. Bill married Alma McKinnon on July 28, 1962. They raised three daughters on the farm. Bill drove school bus for Brandon School Division for 22 years, retiring from driving bus in 1989. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and skidooing. He would have many tales to tell about his many baseball, hunting and fishing get togethers with family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife Alma, daughters Brenda (Bill) Pearson, Tyler; Rhonda (Rod Brown), Brayden, Courteney and great-granddaughter Loevah; Heather (Bill Stapleton) Ryley. Bill was predeceased by his parents Lorne and Lily Beare, brother Wesley and sister Bessie. A celebration of Bill’s life took place on Saturday, January 21, 2017. A private family interment will follow at a later date. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Sun Fund for Kids, c/o Child & Family Services of Western Manitoba, 800 McTavish Avenue, Brandon MB, R7A 6C2. Bill’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the messages of condolences, visits, food and gifts. Also, thanks to staff of Rideau Park for their excellent care.
