RANUM: Elden Everett Ranum (age 74) of Maryfield, Saskatchewan went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2017. He was born December 17, 1942 in Maryfield, Saskatchewan to farmers Everett and Eunice (Boardman) Ranum. As a retired farmer and businessman, he enjoyed baseball (especially the Cleveland Indians), the sunshine of Arizona, and spending time at his Kenosee Lake cabin, where he golfed frequently. Elden was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and felt it important to spread the gospel. He did this through support of several ministries throughout the world. Elden was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by cousin Edward Wertz of Troutdale, Oregon, as well as extended family and friends in both Canada and the U.S. He will be interned next to his parents in the Maryfield Cemetery. The Graveside Funeral service will be held at Maryfield Cemetery on April 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Hans Elgby officiating. G. R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel – Virden in care of arrangements.
