LACEY: The family of Ella Lacey are sad to announce her passing at the Fairview Home on May 22, 2017 with family by her side. Ella was born on February 14, 1920 at Antler, Saskatchewan to Robert and Olive Churcher. She attended school in Antler until 1929 when she moved to Brandon with her family. There she finished her education, married, and had one daughter, Eleanor Medwedew, who predeceased her in 2015. Ella worked at Woolworths then Woolco for many years. She always had many interesting and humorous stories to tell about work and life in general. Ella is survived by her granddaughters Kathy Walker and Connie Neilson and their families, sister Vera Munn, and several nieces and nephews. Ella was also predeceased by her sister May (Harvey) Smeltz, her brother Grant (Bernice) Churcher, her sister Norma (Harry) Wilson, her brother Bob (Lenora) Churcher, brothers-in-law Bill Couling and Dalton Munn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
