McKINNON: On Thursday, June 1, 2017 our hearts were broken with the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Clarence William McKinnon (CK) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 71. Clarence is survived by his wife Belva of 50 years; son Jon (wife Cindy and children, Grady and Aubree); daughter Jodi (husband Michael and children, Jade, Lane and Jake). Also surviving are two sisters Esther Nicol and Lorraine Swain; two brothers-in-law Garth Cumming (June) and Bill Cumming (Gloria); many nieces, nephews and cousins. Two very special aunties Ella Schindler and Fran Woods also survive. Clarence was predeceased by his parents Joe and Eileen McKinnon; father-in-law William (Chappy) and mother-in-law Gladys Cumming; brother-in-laws Jim Nicol and Bill Swain; niece Heather Swain; brother-in-law Allan Cumming; sister-in-law Mary Cumming. Clarence was born in Glenboro and raised in Brandon. He was employed with Wheat City Concrete for 51 years. Clarence will be sorely missed by his family and many friends and acquaintances. His smile and quick wit will be remembered forever. In keeping with Clarences wishes, a private family service was held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium with Kurt Ardron officiating. Urnbearers were Jon McKinnon and Jodi Rogoski. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be given to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB.
