McEWEN: Edward Charles. On Thursday, November 24, 2016 Edward McEwen of Winnipeg, MB passed away suddenly at the Health Science Centre at the age of 64. Edward is survived by his beloved 14 year old cocker spaniel Brewer; children Michael (Dawn) McEwen, Winnipeg, MB, and their daughter Vienna; Andrea (Terry Goebel) McEwen, Carlyle, SK; brother Keith (Susan) McEwen, and their children Lisa, Bonnie and Jim; sister Heather McEwen, and her sons Garth and Charlie. Edward was predeceased by his father Charles Henry McEwen and mother Joyce Alexandra Young. Born October 28, 1952, Edward grew up in Virden, MB. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and had a deep passion for curling and coaching, highlighted by coaching his son’s Brandon University team to a Gold Medal at the 2003 Winter Universiades in Tarvisio, Italy. A private family memorial service will be held in Virden, MB. May the waters always be plentiful, “Gone Fishing”
