TOWNS: Orville Richmond Towns, April 4, 1920 June 24, 2017. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Orville Towns. Orville was born in Holmfield, Manitoba to Rueben and Edna Towns. He was predeceased by first wife Doris, second wife Bessie, daughter Linda Hampson, grandson Steve Patterson, son-in-law Archie Patterson, brothers Vince and George, and sister Marno Culchesky. Orville was a commercial farm product retailer with Gulf Oil for 32 years. He always enjoyed meeting people and working with the public. Orvilles passion in life was music. With Doris, he formed the Towns Orchestra and played all over southern Manitoba. Following the farewell of the orchestra Orville continued to entertain many people through his involvement with other music organizations. When not playing he could often be found tuning pianos, by ear! When not involved with music, Orville loved golfing and visiting with family and friends. He always had a story and a joke to share! Orville will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Janice Graham, grandson Brad (Sharon) Patterson, son-in-law Brian Hampson, granddaughter Angie (Daryl) Hampson and their children, Aiden and Amber, grandson David (Robin) Hampson and their son Mason, brothers, Frank and Bev, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Irene, Gary and Mavis, and Murray and Marie for all of the extra help and care during Orvilles last few years. Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Killarney United Church. Interment held at the Killarney Cemetery.
