WILCOX: Ruby Margaret died in St. Josephs Hospital, Comox, BC on Sept. 8th, 2017 in her 90th year, she was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1990. She is survived by her son Jim (Sue) and three grandchildren, Brian (Chloe), Alan (Tanice) and Carol, and 5 great grand daughters, Rio, Christina, Madison, Emma, Cora. Ruby was born in Bede, Manitoba in 1926 to Jack and Emma Robinson. She had one brother Melvin who died in 2014. As a young woman she moved to work in Brandon and in 1947 married Tom Wilcox. During their married life they travelled extensively enjoying their experiences. They lived in Kenora, Ontario for over 40 years. While there Ruby took part in many activities including gardening, painting pictures, sewing, reading tea leaves, baking for church teas and volunteering at Pinecrest Long Term Care Home. She moved to Comox, BC in 2010 and enjoyed the milder West Coast winters. She made new friends enjoying lunches and outings with them. The family wishes to thank and acknowledge the excellent work and support that they and Ruby received from the doctors, nurses and therapists and all the staff who tried hard to make her days comfortable. In lieu of flowers, donations to the HTS Foundation would be appreciated. At her request, there will be no service. Arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home, Courtenay, BC 250-334-0707
