FERGUSON: Marie Brausse Ferguson, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, September 18, 2017 at Rideau Park Personal Care Home, Brandon, Manitoba. Marie will be sadly missed by her children Suzanne (Frank), Ed (Jeanie), Evelyn (Philip), Irene (Peter), Ivan (Wendy), Cory (Wanda), step daughters Phyl (Wayne), Donna, stepson Lloyd (Jacquie), her sister Suzanne (Ken), sisters-in-law Leona and Teresa, her 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren,  6 great great grandchildren, step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased in death by her parents Robert and Julia Usunier, her first husband William Brausse, second husband, Dean Ferguson, her son Herb Brausse, son-in-law Maurice, granddaughter Anna Marie, her 4 brothers and 3 of her sisters. Marie loved to watch curling, and the Blue Jays on TV, making puzzles, and Sudoku, but most of all she loved her family’s visits. Funeral Mass was held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Virden Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Leo Fernandes officiating. Interment took place in Virden Cemetery. We would like to thank Dr. Egan, and all the nurses and aids on the west wing at Rideau for their care and compassion to Marie and her family at this difficult time.
