PETERS: Donald “Wayne” Peters, passed away on September 21, 2017 at Brandon Regional Hospital at the age of 60 years. Wayne leaves to mourn in his death; his wife Wendy nee Cantlon, his daughter Trisha (Bob) Phinney, sons Trevor (Amy), Travis (Randee) and youngest daughter Tarissa (Devin) Moore, grandchildren: Tristan, Ryder, Calle, Austyn, Prestyn, Kinley, Jayce, Maverick, Aspyn, Grayson, Lennon and Remi. Also; his mother, Audrey Peters and brother Ritchie (Pattie) and sisters: Joan (Larry) Ratz, Norma (Dale) Ready and Heather (Robin) Jay; father and mother-in-law Leslie and Marlene Cantlon, sister-in-law Vicky (Allan) Wood and brother-in-law Darcy Cantlon as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his father Don Peters. Wayne was a grain and cattle farmer on the Peters Century Farm. He loved to share his passion for farming with his sons and grandchildren. He was appreciated in the community for his ability to bring a grin to many faces with his jokes and teasing words. A celebration of his life was held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Oak River Memorial Rink at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Lydia Glawson officiating. Interment followed at the Rapid City Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Dreams Take Flight, Winnipeg. Special thanks to Dr. Kaiser, the staff on 300, and all of the doctors that looked after Wayne; all of whom provided excellent care for Wayne and his family.
