DICK: Jean Olive (Tucker), beloved wife of Orm, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Friday, October 20, 2017, in Medicine Hat, AB, one day before her 93rd birthday. Jean was born in Roblin, MB, on October 21, 1924. She grew up on the family farm alongside her 5 siblings. Jean chose to leave the farm and seek a career in nursing, where she took her training in Dauphin, MB. In 1946 she married Orm, and together they raised 4 children. Throughout their 71 years of married life they resided in Carmen, Brandon, Abbotsford, Blind Bay, BC, and finally made their home in Medicine Hat. They loved to travel and took many vacations to Florida, Texas, and Mexico where they made lifelong friends. In Jeans younger years she was an accomplished seamstress. Caring for and spending time with her family was most important to her. Many hours were spent in the kitchen baking and cooking, and even in her later years no one could hold a candle to the meals she prepared. She was dearly loved and admired by her family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Orm; her children Randy (Leslie), Jan Morgan, and Brad (Judy); grandchildren Shannon (Sean Buckles), Krista (John Nachuk), Jacquie, Jeff Morgan (Ashley), Tara Morgan, Cody, and Brett; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Brent in 1988. As per Jeans wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
