STADNYK: Paulette “Shenan” Stadnyk of Brandon, beloved wife of the late Steve Stadnyk, passed away peacefully at her residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the age of 70 years. Cremation will take place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Lazare Church, 157 Selby Street, St. Lazare, MB on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Rene Digba as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Lazare Cemetery. Paulette was born in Birtle, MB on May 15, 1947 to Jean-Baptiste Houle and Isabelle Fiddler. She attended school in St. Lazare. On October 28, 1967 she married Steve Stadnyk. They had six children and raised them in the Angusville and Foxwarren area. Paulette was a housewife most of her life. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Shortly after her husband Steve died in May of 1998, Paulette moved to Brandon to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She loved to shop, attend bingo and spend time with her immediate family and friends. Paulette is predeceased in death by her brothers: George (Lily), Rene (Alice), Maurice (Marie), Jacque and Ernest; sisters: Marie (Paul), Alma (Tom) and Rita (Walter). She is survived by her brother Edward; sisters-in-law Alma and Irene; children: Doris (Paul), Stephen, Orest, Sandra (Gerald), Danny (Tracy) and Stephanie; grandchildren: Kyle, Stephanie, Ashley, Amber, Sean, Krissy, Jerry, Hailey, Sullivan, Nicole, Ethan, Sydnee, Caiden, Logan, Kazz and Zane; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Heavenly and Jakob. Donations in memory of Shenan may be made to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, Unit 3-2430 Victoria Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7B 0M5.
