ARDRON: Edna Mary (née Medd). It is with sad yet grateful hearts that Ednas family announces her peaceful passing at Valleyview Care Centre, Brandon, MB on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Mom was born on December 27, 1923 to Clarence and Margaret Medd, the second of seven children. She met and later married Reg Ardron in 1945. Mom (also lovingly referred to as Nan) was a consummate homemaker. She excelled at sewing, knitting, baking, canning, preserving and gardening. She was the best Mother and Nan a family could ask for. Throughout her life, she maintained a great sense of humour. In her younger years, she was a long time member of U.C.T. and Central United Church (U.C.W). Edna is survived by her three children: Bonnie (Paul) OHara of Newton, Kansas, Terry (Karen) of Winnipeg, and Dennis (Kirsten) of Brandon; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her six siblings: Alyce Ellis of Wawanesa, June Cook of Nanaimo, BC, Diane (Bryan) Arthur of Ladner, BC, Bruce Medd of Hamiota, Les (Jean) Medd of Ninette, and Jack (Betty) Medd of Windsor, ON. She was predeceased by her husband Reg in 2001 and by her parents. In keeping with Moms wishes, cremation has taken place. We shall celebrate her life at a family graveside service which will be held at a later date. Our family would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Valleyview Care Centre for the wonderful care Mom received these last seven years. Arrangements in care of Redpath Funeral Home Melita, MB. (204) 522-3361. Neil Redpath and Kurt Ardron - Funeral Directors. Messages of condolencemay be placed at www.redpathfuneralhome.com
