WALLACE: Marion Beverley "Bev", daughter of the late Gerritt and Marion Palfenier, passed away December 23, 2017 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Bev is survived by Dave her loving husband of 59 years; sons David, Michael, Dale (Sandy); daughter Kim; brother John (Elaine); sisters Diane (Bob) and Denise. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bev was born August 9, 1936 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. She moved from Oxbow to Brandon to start her nursing career, where she met Dave. She was the best fan and supporter of all her family's sports. Bev loved camping and swimming as well as gardening. Bev updated to modern technology when great-grandchildren were born and Skype became the norm. She had a strong bond with Eastern Star, White Shrine and volunteered with Job's daughters, The Red Cross, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and with handicapped children. Bev was a loving wife and caring mother who guided us through life with family values and respect. A private family interment was held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 5, 2018. Arlene Robertson officiated. The Come and Go Memorial Reception followed at Memories Chapel. Donations in memory of Bev may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
