HEUCHERT: Patricia Gail Heuchert, 71.  On January 13th, 2018  with both of her sons at her side, Mom having been diagnosed with Leukemia took her last breath. She endured Leukaemia with the same vigor and tenacity that defined the way she lived each day. Mom was born in St. Boniface on September 28th, 1946, the youngest of 8 children.  Her parents, Richard and Emily, had emigrated from Ireland and settled the family in Winnipeg. During her time in the city Pat pursued a higher education and cultivated the relationship that would lead to her happy marriage to her loving husband Ronald Heuchert. She is survived by her two loving sons Bill and Greg. Pat achieved many successes during her career as a teacher and counsellor but it was how deeply she was able to connect and resonate with people on an individual level that will be her legacy. Into retirement Pat stayed busy with yoga, travelling, reading and time with friends and family. Pat was truly loved by her many nieces and nephews and was a source of much family history for all.  Pats family would like to acknowledge the great wealth of compassion shown by a seemingly endless source of people. The nursing staff at the Health Sciences Centre, doctors both near and far, friends, family, volunteers, Home Care, Palliative Care and especially the Minnedosa nursing staff. The family is truly grateful for the compassion and care you provided.  For those that wish to show their condolences please donate to Minnedosa Palliative Care.
