WINTER: Peacefully, on Sunday, February 25, 2018, Eileen Winter passed away with her family by her side. Eileen was born in Winnipeg on January 27, 1929 to Joseph and Charlotte Barnett. It was here that she took her schooling and later worked at Eaton's Department Store. In 1947, Eileen met the love of her life. In 1951, on April 6, she married Alvin Winter. Together they raised their three children. Eileen became an avid curler and played many bonspiels. In 1968, the family moved to Brandon. Here Eileen soon found new curling partners and continued her passion for the game. In later years she loved watching the game on TV when she could no longer play herself. Eileen is lovingly missed by her husband of almost 67 years, Alvin; children Greg (Mariam), Ken (Dawn) and Donna (Jack); grandchildren Conrad (Andrea), Jami (Jay), Jodi (Justin), Jim (Naomi) and Krista (Scott) and numerous great-grandchildren that she was very proud of. She was predeceased by her parents and grandson Dale Michael Winter. The family will cherish her memory in a private ceremony. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2W8. Expressions of sympathymay be made atwww.memorieschapel.com
