MEISNER: Doreen “Do”. Our beloved Mother and Nana passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Born in Brandon, Manitoba September 8, 1920, Doreen was in her 98th year. Loving mother of Ellen (Bill) Jeffers, Pat (Harvey) Hueter, late Deb (Dave) Shestalo, Don (Lynne) Meisner, and sister to Jack (Marjorie) Donnelly and Eleanor (Bob) McMullin. Doreen is predeceased by her husbands Homer Brown of Brandon, and John Meisner of Ottawa. She will be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren (Nicola and Sean, Charles, Katie and Kelley, Dan and Matthew, and Megan and John) and 6 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends. Doreen’s caring and open-hearted kindness touched everyone in her life whether curling at Landsdown, golfing at Cedarhill, or hosting her bridge club. Friends and family will celebrate Mom’s and Nana’s life in Ottawa later in the spring. Time to be determined. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your preferred charity.
