MANN: Leslie Albert Mann passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2018 at his residence at Rideau Park Personal Care Home after losing his battle with cancer. Leslie was born on April 11, 1951 in Brandon, MB. He was the younger of two children born to Simone (Frankard) Mann and Bert Mann. Leslie attended St. Augustine’s School and Neelin High School in Brandon. He worked at Binkley Motors washing cars and later at Arm Industries and Cor Enterprises. Although a quiet man, he was friendly and kind to those he came in contact with. He is survived by his sister Jessie and his first cousins, Judy Cancade, Ray (Wanda) Najiwon-Cancade, Anita, Ed, Francis, and Gisele. He was predeceased by his mother, Simone Mann, his father Herbert Mann and his step-mother, Vivianne (Peters) Mann, his Aunt and Uncle Bertha and Joe Cancade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine’s Church on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Kelly Wilson as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Leslie may be made to the Recreation Department at Rideau Park Personal Care Home, 525 Victoria Ave. East, Brandon, MB, R7A 6S9. Leslie’s family would like to extent a special appreciation to the staff of Rideau Park Personal Care Home for their thoughtful care of Leslie during his 16 years of residence at Rideau Park.
