NICHOLLS: On Thursday, May 3, 2018, Fraser William Nicholls, age 97 years, passed away at Fairview Home. Fraser was born September 2, 1920, and raised in a large rambunctious family on a farm near Wawanesa. He attended the Tenderfield School and early on showed a knack for farming. In 1943, Fraser joined the Army and was assigned to the Tank Corps/Infantry Lake Superior Regiment. After the war, he returned and started his own farm until he retired and moved to Brandon. Fraser enjoyed fishing and meeting up with friends. Being a tall and well built man he always enjoyed a good meal. Fraser is survived by his sisters Florence and Evelyn; brother Edward and many many nieces and nephews to great great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters Lilian, Clare, Freda, Ethel, Eva and brothers Gordon and Lawrence. The Funeral to Celebrate Fraser's Life will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, Brandon, on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with The. Rev. Jonathan Hoskin officiating. A reception will follow. Fraser will be laid to rest in the Veterans' Section of the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
