HANLAN: Joanne Hanlan passed away on May 8th, 2018 in Nanaimo, BC with her husband by her side, at the age of 74. Joanne is survived by her husband Dick Hanlan and three children, Blaine (Jennifer) Ironside, Coleen Emrick (Kerry Tilbury), Kim (Duley) Roberts; grandchildren, Shelly, Dana, Samantha (Jason), Vicki (Joey), Tj (Mary), Grant, Wyatt and MJ, Brady, Carter, Courtney; great-grandchildren, Thea Gail, Oliver, Evangeline; step daughter Margaret Hanlan; sisters, Mildred (Gerry) Stanick, Brenda Taylor, Diane (Orvil) Henderson, sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Downey Flora Dyer, Ethel Westwood, Zig (Lick) Robinson, Muriel Brenand, Janny Lilley, Heather (Mel) Soltys, Alec Heuser, Heather Hanlan; numerous nieces and nephews. Joanne was predeceased by her first husband William Ironside, parents Fern and Bill Downey, mother and father-in-law Annie and James Ironside, brother Larry Downey, brothers-in- law, Les Dyer, Jim Ironside, Les Ironside, Ron Ironside, Morris Brenand, Lorne Lilley, Mack Westwood, David Ironside, Norman Hanlan, John Hanlan, sisters-in-law Evelyn Heuser, Lorna Ironside, Ruby Ironside, Darlene Ironside and Shirley Ironside. A celebration of Joanne’s life will take place at a later date.
