RODGERS: Joan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on May 30, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Noted for her winning smile, killer sense of style and delightful wit, Joan will be sorely missed by her many family and friends. Kind and caring, Joan never missed an opportunity to help others, putting them at ease and welcoming them to her heart and home. A fantastic baker, Joan delighted in providing treats to her family and friends closely guarding a number of secret recipes. Her capacity for service to her family was awe inspiring, providing gentle and loving end of life care to her father, mother and husband a service that her children welcomed the opportunity to return when she reached her end of life. Touching all who she met with her warmth and compassion, Joan has left a hole in many hearts with her passing. Joan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ginger and Will; her son and daughter-in-law Bob and Akemi; and three grandchildren Tyler, Bobby and Hanako. She is also survived by five brothers and their wives, Jim and Julie, Roy and Lorraine, Ray and Shannon, David and Noreen, and Gordon and Cathy; two brother-in-laws, Bob and Mike and his wife Jane; sister-in-law Peg and her husband Mike as well as many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her husband Bob and sister Beatrice.
