BOLLMAN: Georgina Bollman (Dale). It is with sad hearts and fond memories we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and the beloved wife of the late Bert Bollman (2010). She passed suddenly on June 22, 2018 in her 92nd year at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. She will be greatly be missed by her daughters; Lynne Manikel and Glenda ( George Neufeld) and lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren; Leigh (Denise) Manikel, Mark Manikel, Jonathan (Jamie) Neufeld, Juli (Rick) Rohl and eight great grandchildren; Brock, Lila, Owen, Logan, Riley, Emily, Hannah and Cooper. They were a great source of pride and joy to her and she was a special treasure to them. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Maggie Dale, two brothers Lorne and Hudson Dale, her loving husband Bert Bollman (2010) and sisters-in-law; Fay Dale, June and Ellen Bollman, brothers-in-law Leonard and Frank Bollman. She is survived by sister-in-law, Shirley Dale and many nieces and nephews. Georgina was raised in the Hamiota area and married Bert in October, 1947. They moved to the Moline community where they were a great team farming and raising their two daughters. She took an active role in the Moline Community participating in the United Church, the Women's Institute and was a leader in the 4H Club. They retired to Rivers in 1991 where they took full advantage of their retirement years. They enjoyed many travels and good times with so many dear friends and relatives. She stayed active with the (Rivers) United Church and greatly enjoyed the fellowship and activities of the Over 50 Plus Club. Georgina continued participating in the (Rivers) Women's Institute until her passing, a total of 69 years. In 2014 she was delighted to be honored as a lifetime member. Georgina was a dedicated farm wife and took great pride in her home, yard and raising her family. Her flower garden was a great source of joy. In later years growing and pressing pansies became a favorite hobby. She was an accomplished seamstress and lovingly created beautiful garments. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake. She happily shared her talents with the grandchildren and they appreciated learning from her. Her door was open and visitors always welcome. Her favorite times were when people stopped in for a visit, a cup of tea, to play cards or to share a meal. She was a strong woman and a devoted wife. She was a special mother and continued to nurturer as the family expanded. Her gracious and friendly spirit was appreciated by many. Her family was proud of how she stayed current and was knowledgeable about many topics. She learned to use a computer and eagerly used email and Facebook. She kept us on our toes with her good memory, sharp mind and determined spirit. We will not forget her caring and concerned nature and her efforts to leave the world a better place. The family thanks Dr. A Vermack at Riverdale Health Center and the Rivers Home Care team for their care and support. We are also grateful for her caring community that supported her in so many ways and brightened her days. A Celebration of a Life well lived will be held on June 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Rivers United Church. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow in the Friendship Hall.
