SPENCE: Larry Albert Spence, February 7, 1945 - July 10, 2016. Larry passed away in Brandon, MB at age 71. When I came in to stay with him for his surgery and recovery, I had no idea that I would lose my brother and best friend. Larry was a very knowledgeable person and was so talented. He was an excellent upholsterer and had a passion for old vehicles, especially Chevrolets. He was always working on projects. He had a quiet strength about him and always put family first. When our mother required some extra help he became her primary caregiver, so that she could stay at home until the fall of 2015. Larry was admired by his siblings and adored by his nieces and nephews and their families. He was always kind and thoughtful. Uncle Larry enjoyed spending time teaching the young ones to fish, play cards, pool, chess and even Jenga. He cheered them on when they played sports and listened to them when they needed someone to talk to. He made the world a better place. Larry is survived by his sister Sylvia and brothers Garnet, Robert W. and Berry (Susan) and his many nieces and nephews and their families, and will be remembered for the impact he had on all of our lives. He will also be remembered fondly by his good friends, Ernie, Linda and Shawndra.
