JOHNSON: Albert Edward Johnson, at the age of 83, passed away quietly on August 7, 2018 at Erickson Personal Care Home. Albert was born August 31, 1934 to Joseph and Jennie Johnson. Albert grew up in the R.M. of Clanwilliam where he lived on the family farm until his departure to start work with Harper Construction, building elevators. Shortly after he moved on to have employment with Manitoba Hydro and then went into partnership to start up a construction business, which he worked at for just over 40 years. Albert married Barbara Gale Hillstrand on September 24, 1960 at the Erickson Lutheran Church. They had two daughters, Cynthia Louise born August 19, 1961 and Michelle Leigh born August 2, 1967. In his passing, Albert leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years, Gale; daughters Cindy (David) and Michelle (Richard); grandchildren: Jamie (Kent), Robin (Dean), Chad (Carly), Kaela (Cody); great grandchildren: Kaylea, Jordyn, and Brooklyn. He also leaves his four sisters: Selma (Ed), Marlene, Janet (Norman), and Faye, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A private funeral service will take place for the family.
