CARLISLE: Gerald Lloyd Carlisle. Born October 27, 1938 in Souris, MB - Passed away September 18, 2018 at the Brandon Assiniboine Centre. Jerry was a talented athlete, playing hockey in Souris, North Battleford Juveniles, Brandon Wheat Kings in 1959 and Nipigon, ON, before moving to Thompson to work at Inco where he enjoyed Shift League hockey. He also enjoyed playing ball with Souris Cardinals for some time. He spent 20 winters in Texas where he excelled in playing pool and shuffleboard, and was inducted into The Texas Shuffleboard Association Hall Of Fame in 2015. In later years he owned and operated Jerry’s Food Mart in Souris before settling in Brandon. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Ethel and Ivan Carlisle and his brother Donald. Left to mourn is his loving partner, Evelyn Skinner, son Delwin, son Randy (Shannon) Crystal and Dan, son Robert, Rebecca, Richelle (Terry) Zoe, Josh and Macy, Zak (Shelby) Claire, daughter Lori, Shane, Savanna, Paul, mother of his children Phyllis Sheane Carlisle, sister Adele, and Don’s partner Carole, extended family Kelly, Shelley and Brady Skinner, Joy Skinner, Todd Poole, Cassie and Hunter Poole, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. As per Jerry’s wishes there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers please donate to an Alzheimer or Cancer charity of your choice.
