SKLIROS: Reverend Michael Peter died at Peterborough Hospital, UK, on October 31, 2018 following complications secondary to lung cancer. He was born in Walton-on-Thames on April 15, 1933 and moved to Brandon in 2001. As an ordained Anglican priest, after his arrival, he served as Honorary Assistant to the Bishop at St. Matthew’s Cathedral. A gifted baritone, he sang in the Cathedral choir, Rezona, and also belonged to the University Chorale. He wrote a regular column on the Religion page of the Saturday edition of the Brandon Sun in which he discussed topics of the day and raised many questions on controversial issues. He enjoyed visiting other churches and denominations in Brandon in order to get a feel for how others served their flocks, and made many friends along the way. Michael and his wife Inge moved back to the UK in 2012 so he could be closer to his children and grandchildren from his first marriage. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Inge, daughter Helen (David), son John (Marci) and 4 grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Alexander and Ralph.
