CRAWFORD: Irene Mary (née Larson) Crawford, December 25, 1924-December 13, 2018. Sadly, on Thursday, December 13, 2018, Irene passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, at the age of 93 years. Originally from Dryden, Ontario, Irene and her husband, Elgin, moved to Brandon in 1976 to join her daughter Betty and her family. Irene was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Elgin Crawford; her sister Effie Brooks and her parents Karl and Eva Larson. Irene is survived by her daughter Betty (née Crawford) Ksiazek; granddaughters: Kimberley Ksiazek and Michelle Sawchuk (Jason); great grandchildren: Brooklynn and Brenna Sawchuk and her sister Ruth Larson. Special thanks to Dr. Stevenson, the health care providers of Prairie Mountain Health and Brockie Donovan Funeral Home. A private memorial service was held for family on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. God called your name so softly that only you could hear, and no one heard the footsteps of angels drawing near.
