RIGBY: Marjorie Wilma Rigby passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Marjorie was born on December 12, 1924 in Brandon, Manitoba to William and Henrietta (née McLean) Peacock; the youngest of three children and their only daughter. Marjorie met Allan Rigby at the Brandon General Hospital, where they were both employed at the time. They were married on August 22, 1949. They had one daughter, Linda, who survives them; another daughter was lost shortly after birth. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers: Jim and Harry. Her husband, Allan, passed away in 2007. Besides her daughter, she is survived by her special nieces: Joan (Art) Oscar and Gail (Norm) Popien, both of Brandon. Also surviving are: nieces Joyce Smith of Winnipeg; Judy Gregorish and Nancy Smith of Calgary. She will also be missed by friends Charlie and Bonnie Muller. The family would like to thank the staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, especially the Palliative Care Unit, for their compassionate care during her last days. Thanks also to Charlie and Bonnie Muller, for not only their friendship with Marjorie, but also for their support of the family during this difficult time. A private service was held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Brockie Donovan Chapel.
