PROCTOR: Daphne Joyce (Smith), born November 13, 1932, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Beacon Hill Lodge, Winnipeg, MB on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Daphne was predeceased by both her parents, Fred Smith and Lillian Claxton, her son Ronald Law, her brothers and sisters: Hazel Smith, Evelyn Flemming, Ronald Smith, Shirley Holmstrom, Norma (Ray) Munson, Denise (Ernie) Muzychka, and her husband of 29 years, Melvin Proctor. Daphne is survived by her four children: Donald (Joan) Law, Judy Law, John (Mina) Proctor, Bonny (Keith) Provo. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Roy (Tracey), Vienna (Gerrard), Ryan (Karen), Theresa, Charlotte (Dan), Nathan, Jennifer (Richie), Jason, Nichole and Cody as well as her great grandchildren: Greg, Vickie, Hannah, Brooke, Logan, Titus, Micaiah, Noah and Bianca. Daphne enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening and bird watching. She was involved with the Legion #247s Ladies Auxiliary, Streamliners and various other charities. Daphne moved from Brandon to Winnipeg in 2017 where she enjoyed spending her final years with her family. Daphnes amazing smile will forever shine and be etched in our hearts. Forever missed, never forgotten, always loved and in our hearts. A Celebration of Daphnes Life was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Shawn and Brenda Crtich officiating. A private family interment was held at Brandon Cemetery.
